WHO I AM
I’m Milissa — a creative soul who practically breathes creating art. My jewelry journey began in 2008 during an ordinary hardware-store run with my husband. Among screws and paint swatches I spotted a set of beautiful hinges and knew, in a flash of ridiculous delight, that something incredible could be born from them. That was the day ARTISTRY UNHINGED was born.
What started as hinge art unfurled into a wider obsession with materials and metals. I collect bits and pieces over years — found objects, rescued metals, unexpected treasures — and let them tell me what they want to become. Most pieces are one-of-a-kind; each has its own personality, its own tiny history embedded in patina, wear, and weld. If a piece can be reproduced or customized, I’ll say so in the description.
Creating is not just what I do — it’s who I am. I love the wild play of combining textures, the little sparks (literal and metaphorical), and the surprise when something ordinary is transformed into wearable art.
